Happy Birthday to my beautiful and precious daughter Emily! She is 26 today and doesn’t seem like it’s been 26 years since that little girl came into my heart.
Though it remains cold the sun is shining today and the sky is blue without a cloud. After over a week of dark cloudy dreary days, this is such a wonderful change and blessing! There is no wind and it almost seems warmer outside than in here. So glad to see a pretty day again.
JD is being really lazy today and has been sleeping on the couch all morning. I myself slept kind of late and am not doing alot. I know JD is tired when he doesn’t attend church. He is rousing right now, maybe he’ll be up for a bit. lol… Preston was with us till about 11:30 last night. He took a nap around 7pm for a little over an hour. I don’t think he had napped all day as he was pretty cranky. He ate very little supper, but made up for it later with chips and cookies. He was so good. We’re really trying hard on the potty training and Em has a new approach that get’s him in there. You have to ask him if he wants to make bubbles. lol.. He never did but we did try a couple of times. It’s been a difficult time getting him potty trained. Much of it is stubborness on his part. Sure hope he catches on soon. *smiles*
I decided after a long time to go to Meez and update mine. I don’t go there much and keep forgetting actually. Here she is all ready for the holiday’s.
They had some prettier dresses which cost coinz, and I haven’t collected any, but I did win her necklace. lol.. I sure enjoyed reading all the Saturday Special stories. I believe this is my favorite form of the meme. I don’t know how hard it is for Toni to set it up, but she does an excellent job. I also took a picture of an ornament I received in an ornament exchange I thought I would share with you. Most of the ornaments on my little tree are from exchanges and friends. It makes them all so much more special. I didn’t hang any balls this year because I can’t find any hooks, but the tree doesn’t really need them.
Well I don’t have much else to chat about right now. I can’t believe I’ve blogged this whole week and not missed a day. Maybe I’m finally getting back on track, lol.. Here is my By the Way Sunday meme for this week, then I’ll be around visiting throughout the rest of the day.

Hi Nancze, Happy birthday to Emily! My oldest daughter Stacey is also 26. I cant believe myself how time has flown by…wasnt she just sitting on the floor playing with her barbies??? LOL. When I went to Michigan for the funeral, I couldnt believe how old everyone looked…lol…guess they all cant stop aging like me…lol. It is cold here in Kentucky, the wind is blowing strong, but no snow and the rain has stopped. I would love snow on Christmas but dont think we will see any..:-( anyways, have a great day hon! hugs to you! Grammy Laurie
Hi Nancze,
Happy Birthday Emily!!! Love ypur new Meez 😉 You an JD enjoy your Sunday at home. I too enjoy Toni’s SS meme stories too. Everyone has a different spin for sure!
Hugs, Dru
Hello my royal sweetness 🙂 Happy Birthday to your daughter! Time certainly does have wings, but sometimes it needs barbells to hold it from flying LoL!
I’ve heard, and I can’t remember where … that for boys potty training, you can make it fun by putting cheerios in the toily. Then, tell him to shoot for the hole or try to hit one of them. I’m not sure how many to put in there? I know this sounds so funny ROFL! If I was a boy, I sure would love to shoot at Cheerios in the toily!
I’ve already thought of how nice it would be to have you work with me!!! That crossed my mind many times being here. BUT … We’d get into too much trouble (having too much fun), and Henry would have to separate us … LoL! Anyone can learn how to – alot depends on the teacher teaching it. My mind started going in my 20’s and trying to stay sharp at work is so hard. I make stupid mistakes sometimes that frustrates me. The kids of today make a lot of mistakes. In our store, we try to catch them before they leave. Like, if Dianne makes an order, I’ll check it – then the driver or cash register ringer upper will check it. It can’t be done with each order, but we’ve caught a lot by the buddy system. There’s been times it’s been checked 3 times, and still wrong ROFL! We try 🙂
Grimmie and Joon send their love & kisses! What excitement they had with the tree today LoL 🙂 We only pull it out -it’s all together- and they still run around like kids.
Have a wonderful week my friend, I hope you’re ready for Christmas 🙂 ~Sending all my love & so many hugs
Hi Nancze! Hope Emily had a great birthday! Don’t the years seem to just fly by? I’m wondering how to slow down the aging process but guess there’s not much we can do:-) Love your snowman ornament! My daughter collects them and I try to give her a different one each year. Hope you’re keeping warm there…it’s freezing here in Atlanta. Just thought I’d drop by while I could still hold my head up. The cold symptoms have lessened and I’m not near as miserable as yesterday, so maybe this thing is coming around the bend. Hope so!
Have a peace-filled week, my friend. Thanks for keeping in touch.
hugs,
Vicki
Hi Nancze: Happy Birthday to Emily. I had a lazy day yesterday, too! Have a lovely Monday. HUGS
Good morning Nancze,
Belated ‘Happy Birthday’ to your dear sweet Emily. The years pass way too fast! Hope you were able to watch Survivor last night. I was shocked when Todd won. Courtney even got 2 votes and Amanda only 1. Go figure. Guess lying and back stabbing pays off.
It’s so cold here this morning. Sunny and cold isn’t near as nice as sunny and cold. Hopefully this chill won’t last too long. Can you tell how spoiled I am? hehe!
Hope you have a wonderful, sunny day. Love you lots!! Hugz!
Happy Birthday to Emily! Glad you’re staying warm. Nothing wrong with being lazy on a Sunday and it’s cold outside. Your ornament is so cute. What a nice idea – an ornament exchange. Is that between online friends? Have a wonderful day and I’ll write in a day or so.
Your chilly Florida friend!
Hi Nancze! Hope Em had a great birthday and a nice time at Michael’s work party. I imagine you weren’t too happy with the results of Survivor. Guess there’s a lot that goes on that we don’t see. I was surprised that Courtney got 2 votes! Glad to have the party behind us and now to finish up a little more gift shopping and then just enjoy the tree and decorations. Have a great week ahead! (((Hugz)))
Hi Nancze,
Happy belated Birthday to your dear Emily. It is hard for me to believe that Carrie is 33 years old.
It took Brian quite a while to be toilet trained. He never used a potty. He didn’t want anything to do with it. I never pushed the issue. One day he asked to go to the bathroom and took off his diaper. He went right to the toilet. I had to put a stool under his feel so they wouldn’t dangle. After his first time using the potty we had a “Potty Party.” We had hats, balloons, noise makers and even a cake to celebrate his accomplishment. He never looked back at a diaper. I never had to clean out a potty chair. He was 3 years old. Boy, that all sounds ridiculous. I guess one does what works-hopefully.
I love you little ornament. It is so precious.
Take care sis and have a wonderful and cozy evening.
Love and hugs
p.s. I hope I didn’t carry on too much. I am delirious with fever-LOL.
Hello Nanzce ((hugs)). Happy Birthday to your Emily! hope she has a wonderful year ahead. Hope you are keeping well and staying cozy. Thanks so much for your kind comments on my blog. We are doing better now and full of festive cheer. Sending hugest hugs and lots of love Verena-Maria xxxxxxxx
Hey Nancze! Hope Em had a great birthday. 🙂 I’m doing some blog-hoppin’ this afternoon so thought I’d drop by & say hello! Can’t believe Christmas is just a week away! It goes too fast, doesn’t it? Hubby and I will spend it at my parents’ in Piemonte (it’s a region of Italy quite near the border with France). We are freezing here now, but I’m all cosy and warm with my hot cup of coffee. Too bad I can’t share a cup with you. Take care, and if I can’t visit again: have a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year! Gingerbread-hugs! 🙂
