Friday’s doings…
Another week is almost over, time is an odd thing. Sometimes it seems to pass by very quickly and other times it seems to just drag by. It is going to be a sunny and warm day. I had the dogs out a bit ago and though the grass was still wet, it was getting hot to sit in the sun. I saw this theme and thought it went perfectly as we are in the mowing part of the year. The grass is tall and with all the rain, it seems we can’t keep up to keep it cut. Yet before summer is over the yard will be all dried out and yellowish. It never stays green after summer get’s into full gear. But the header reminded me of our yard at the moment. lol.. In fact it needs mowing again.
Being friday it’s my favorite meme’s day. Also Jenna Bush’s wedding is coming up soon. She has been successful in keeping it private so far. I love the way the media has to almost make something out of nothing concerning the special day. lol. I watched Survivor last night and it’s going to be an all girls final this sunday. They really did a job on the last standing man. lol. Well I say he deserved it, knowing the game and thinking he could trust anyone. Sunday will be a day I put the DVR to work. I like to watch Extreme makeover - Home edition, then the 3 hour Survivor is on and also the second episode of Cranford! Luckily the timing is good so that two will be taping at the same time, but not more than two overlap. Makeover ends then Cranford starts. Also have to get JD’s tractor show on there somehow. lol. I sure hope I don’t miss out on any of it.
Nothing else exciting going on. JD is off again today and is doing some things around here. He is working on fixing up a grill for us to use. We had three, each with something wrong, but he is going to use them all to get one good one working, lol.. I myself am not crazy about gas grill’s. I prefer charcoal grilling as it taste more like the food was cooked on an outdoor grill. If you use a gas one as far as I’m concern you might as well of just cooked it inside. Well am going to do my meme’s and then make my visits. I hope you all have a wonderful day and week-end.

When someone smiles at you, do you smile back? -yes, I don’t understand when someone doesn’t. It would seem to me that they aren’t very friendly, but it’s not a true indicator. All I know is I acknowlege a smile and like it when someone acknowledges mine.

Do you know anyone whose life has been touched by adoption? -Yes, I no several people who have adopted, a dear friend, a brother and sister in law for a couple I can think of.

3. What is the best thing about being a mom? The worst? -The love you give back and forth with your children is the best. The worst, When they reach that certain age when they believe they have the answer’s and don’t listen to your guidance.
4. What are you doing on Mother’s Day? -JD will be working, so I’ll be here at home. I have no idea if I’ll see either Cliff or Emily, but I suspect they will call. They always do.
A creative adventure XIII…..
1. Walking along a wooded side road, I see the cabin ahead. I approach the cabin and on the rocking chair by the door I spot a key that looks like it fits the door lock. I unlock and open the door slowly and holler out, “Is anyone home?”. With no answer I decide to go on in and check the place out.
2. In the cabin by a window there is a window seat chest. Walking over to the chest, I slowly open it and find a beautiful crocheted and tatted shawl in a lovely pale blue. I can’t resist and pick it up to try it on.
3. I suddenly hear a noise coming from the outside, and quickly close the chest and as the person enters the cabin, he says “Aha! I see you found your mother’s day surprise. What do you think of it?”
4. Laughing I leave the cabin along with my wonderful husband and beautiful new shawl and thinking to myself He couldn’t of gotten me a better gift even if I had thought of it!
