Photobucket Not much to post today. We had rain off and on all day yesterday and at times the wind gust were awful and the raindrops huge. I never saw any lightening, which was good. I did a lot of email yesterday and just never got around to a post. Besides the days are pretty much the same so not a lot to tell. The potty training with Petey is not going well. Right now he is tugging at my dress and playing with it while I type. I just am not fast enough to catch him with this bum knee. Hopefully when he gets a bit older and can control his bladder more it will go better. I sure hope it get’s done and he’s trained before the cold and winter returns. lol.

JD is off today. I slept till almost noon. He is off running his errands. I talked to his cousin Eddie who has the feed store and found out my doctor, who is in Iraq won’t be back till the at least the middle of June and possibly not till July. That is not good news to me, but I am proud of what he is doing. I’ll just be thrilled when he returns home. I have a routine appointment with Dr. Hamilton this month to do my blood sugar check. I know I haven’t lost, which is not good. I may talk with him about the knee surgery. I know that until it get’s fixed my mobility will always be poor and exercise not doable.

Well I can’t believe that Hillary is still going. They say Obama has the nomination. Hillary is not a quitter, but I don’t think there is any reason right now for her to keep wasting money and going on. She is even losing some delegates from what I have heard. I guess like other’s I’ll just wait and see, but JD is sure that she plans to run again in 4 years as the Clinton’s want the white house back badly. I don’t have much of an opinion on that. I will be voting for McCain. I just don’t trust Obama. He is nice, pleasant, a good speaker, but not clear on many things and I question the people he surrounds himself with. I know many like him, but I just can’t bring myself to trust the kind of change he wants.

Think I’ll do my Booking through Thursday meme as it’s been awhile.

Question - Writing guides, grammar books, punctuation how-tos . . . do you read them? Not read them? How many writing books, grammar books, dictionaries–if any–do you have in your library? -I rarely read them, and don’t have any, but think it might be a good thing to have some. Well I do have dictionaries, but mostly go online instead as it’s faster and more convenient. I would like to read some books on writing, but to me writing is a lot of natural talent and ability. Some people have it and some don’t. I feel I don’t, in fact sometimes I wish I had a much better imagination than I do have. I know I often read things and think, wow wish I could of said that, or I’ll feel the writer has stated just exactly how I feel and think. I really enjoy how some people can take a very simple thing and get a humours story out of it. Anyway I do love to read, but just don’t feel that I have the talent to write.

Till next time……

Take out the weeds
from some wild spot,
Remove each stone that shows,
Plant seeds of friendship
good and deep,
and tend the plant that grows.
